Performing Arts invites students to discover their voice through music, acting, and dance while building creativity, collaboration, and confidence on stage.

The Recycling Team helps keep IHMS clean and green by collecting and sorting recycling from classrooms, promoting environmental responsibility across the school.

Visible in classrooms and hallways each week, team members are active champions of sustainability who encourage students and staff to make thoughtful choices every day. This program develops environmental stewardship, community pride, and the understanding that small, consistent actions can make a meaningful difference for our planet.

Intramural Sports bring daily active play during recess, building wellness and teamwork while giving students the chance to lead as referees and coaches.

Organized with student involvement at every level, intramurals create a culture of movement, friendly competition, and mutual respect throughout the school. Students who step into referee and coaching roles develop communication, fairness, and confidence. Gaining valuable leadership experience while keeping the whole school active and engaged.

Liturgical Assistants help prepare and support Divine Liturgies, distributing liturgical materials and caring for the church while growing in service and reverence.

By managing song sheets, prayer books, and the care of sacred spaces, students take on the important responsibility of ensuring each Liturgy runs smoothly and with dignity. This role builds a quiet, steady faith expressed through action. Teaching students that serving God and community is one of the most meaningful ways to lead.

The Liturgical Choir enhances Divine Liturgies through sacred song, helping students grow musically while serving as confident, prayerful leaders of worship.

Through regular rehearsals and Liturgies at Sts. Volodymyr & Olha Cathedral, students develop vocal skills, musical ear, and a deep appreciation for the Ukrainian Catholic liturgical tradition. Children of Mary guides students in deepening their faith through prayer, service, and Marian devotion, nurturing compassion and spiritual leadership

Altar Servers have a sacred and honoured role in Divine Liturgy, assisting the priest with reverence and care while growing in faith and responsibility.

Scorekeeping gives students an important role in IHMS home games, tracking volleyball and basketball scores while building focus, accuracy, and team support.

Staying sharp under pressure while supporting interschool competitions, student scorekeepers develop a strong understanding of game rules and an essential connection to the athletics program. This role builds confidence, responsibility, and a genuine sense of pride in contributing to the success of every home game.

Safety Patrols give students a trusted role in the school community, helping peers navigate daily routines safely while building leadership and responsibility.

Assisting at crossings on Divine Liturgy days and entry points each day, patrol members model safe habits and serve as positive role models for younger students throughout the school. This program develops a strong sense of duty, reliability, and confidence. Giving students a meaningful opportunity to contribute to a safe and welcoming school environment.

Student Council gives students a meaningful voice in school life, fostering leadership, school spirit, and a shared responsibility for our community.

SMAC empowers students to make a difference through social justice, community service, and leadership rooted in kindness and responsibility.

Cross-Stitch Club gives students a calm, creative outlet to learn traditional needlework, building patience, focus, and pride in handcrafted work.

Following patterns and developing fine motor skills, students take pride in completing beautiful pieces they can keep or gift. The relaxed, encouraging atmosphere makes Cross-Stitch Club a favourite for students looking to slow down, create something meaningful, and connect with a timeless craft tradition passed down through generations.

Tech Club sparks curiosity and creativity by introducing students to coding, robotics, and digital problem-solving in a hands-on, exploratory setting.

Working through real challenges and collaborative projects, students experiment with new tools and stretch their thinking in every session. Tech Club also nurtures responsible digital citizenship alongside technical skills, helping students become thoughtful, capable innovators prepared for a technology-driven world.

Running Club keeps students moving and motivated, building endurance, teamwork, and a genuine love of physical activity in a welcoming environment.

Open to students of all fitness levels, Running Club meets regularly to train together, set personal goals, and cheer each other on. Members develop self-discipline, healthy habits, and a strong sense of belonging through regular runs and friendly challenges that make staying active something to look forward to every week.

The Debate Team sharpens students' thinking and communication skills, guiding them to research ideas, build arguments, and speak with confidence.

Through structured discussions and competitive rounds, students learn to listen actively, respond respectfully, and defend their viewpoints with clarity. Participation builds public speaking ability, logical reasoning, and the courage to share ideas. Skills that serve students in every area of school and life.

IHMS Athletics brings students together through competitive and recreational sport, building teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and school pride.

Representing IHMS in interschool competitions, student athletes develop physical skills alongside the values of preparation, effort, and respect. Our athletics program fosters a strong sense of community and celebrates the achievements of every student who steps onto the court, track, or field.

Library Helpers give up their lunch recess to collect books from classrooms, check them back in, and help prepare the library for afternoon classes.

Working quietly behind the scenes, these dedicated students visit each classroom, gather returned books, check them back into the library system, and tally overdue and due titles before reporting directly to the librarian. Their consistent effort ensures afternoon library classes run smoothly and that no book slips through the cracks. Library Helpers are an essential and appreciated part of the school day.
