Our Full-Time Kindergarten program offers a nurturing, faith-centered environment where children learn through play, exploration, and guided instruction. Students develop a strong foundation in literacy, numeracy, and social development.

Literacy and Language Arts
Daily phonemic awareness lessons, songs, rhymes, and word games give children a strong literacy foundation. These structured, playful activities develop listening skills, letter-sound connections, and early reading & writing development.
Science Through Exploration
Children investigate weather, seasons, plants, animals, and physical properties through hands-on experiments. From planting seeds to exploring water and ice, students develop curiosity, scientific vocabulary, and a love of discovery.

Building Early Math Skills
Using manipulatives and real-world objects, children explore numbers, shapes, patterns, and measurement. These concrete experiences make math meaningful, foster critical thinking, and build a strong foundation for future learning.
Faith Formation and Catholic Values
Through daily prayers, Bible stories, and the liturgical calendar, children grow in their understanding of God’s love and Ukrainian Catholic traditions. Acts of kindness, compassion, and service are woven into everyday classroom life.

Ukrainian Culture and Heritage
Students explore Ukrainian language, traditions, music, art, and history through engaging, meaningful activities. These experiences build cultural pride, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the Ukrainian rich and vibrant heritage.
Visual and Performing Arts
Children perform in three school concerts each year, building real stage experience. Music classes develop foundational skills through song. Visual art activities, from drawing and painting to traditional Ukrainian crafts, nurture creativity and cultural pride.

Benefits to full time kindergarten
Strong Academic Foundations
A full school day provides time to build early literacy and numeracy skills through guided instruction and hands-on learning. Students practice, revisit concepts, and grow in a supportive environment.
Readiness for Grade One
Students become comfortable with school routines, transitions, and classroom expectations. By year’s end, they are academically, socially, and emotionally prepared for a smooth transition to Grade One.
Social and Emotional Growth
Daily interaction with peers strengthens communication, cooperation, and self-advocacy skills. Children learn empathy, patience, and resilience within a structured and caring classroom community.
Enriched Learning Opportunities
Extended time allows for creative arts, music, physical education, and exploratory play. Children benefit from a balanced day that nurtures both academic growth and whole-child development.
Growing Independence and Responsibility
A full day encourages students to develop self-regulation, organization, and personal responsibility. These habits build confidence and prepare children for continued success in later grades.
Language and Cultural Immersion
Extended time in the school day allows time for Ukrainian language and cultural programming alongside core academics. Students gain meaningful exposure to their heritage without compromising literacy, math, or other essential learning.
